Statement as of 6:00 PM PST on December 21, 2009 ... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST Tuesday for the Willapa Hills and north and central Oregon Coast Range... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect until 10 am PST Tuesday. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 10 am PST Tuesday. * Snow showers will continue to bring low elevation snow to the coastal hills and mountains through Tuesday morning. * Snow levels will remain between 1000 and 1500 feet this evening through Tuesday morning with an additional 3 to 5 inches of snow. * Storm total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches will make travel in the coastal mountains difficult. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving. |
