Snow level 6500 feet increasing to above 7000 feet in the afternoon. Snow locally lowering to 5500 feet along the northern slopes. Highs from the upper 50s and 60s at low elevations to the mid 40s to mid 50s at higher elevations. Areas of northwest to north winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph in the morning...strongest through the Interstate 5 corridor. Winds diminishing to 15 to 25 mph with local gusts to 40 mph in the afternoon.

... Wind Advisory in effect until 11 am PST this morning...
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
Wind Advisory for the Los Angeles and Ventura County mountains.
This advisory is in effect until 11 am PST this morning.
Gusty northwest to north winds will increase to 25 to 35 mph with
gusts to 50 mph this morning. These winds will be strongest
through the Interstate 5 corridor... where local gusts to near 55
mph are possible in some favorable locations and mountain peaks.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph or greater are
expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...
especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
