The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northeastern San Bernardino County in Southern California...
southeastern Inyo County in south central California...
west central Clark County in southern Nevada...

* until 1030 PM PDT

* at 736 PM PDT... Doppler radar indicated a complex of thunderstorms
producing heavy rain over Sandy Valley. These storms are nearly
stationary. Doppler radar estimates up to one inch of rain has
already fallen with additional amounts expected as storm coverage
increases.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sandy Valley and Goodsprings.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Flash flooding is expected in washes... low water crossings and on
roads. To escape rising water... move to higher ground. Never try to

Esmeralda County in south central Nevada...

* until 915 PM PDT

* at 617 PM PDT... Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms
producing heavy rain over eastern Inyo County and esmerelda
County. These storms are slowly moving off to the north-northeast.
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lida... Dyer... Coaldale... Gold Point... Silver Peak... Fish Lake
Valley campground... Mesquite Springs Campground... scottys Castle...
Boundary Peak and Montgomery Peak.

southeastern Inyo County in south central California...

* until 900 PM PDT

* at 607 PM PDT... Doppler radar indicates thunderstorms producing
heavy rain over Death Valley National Park. These storms are
nearly stationary. Doppler radar estimated between one half to one
inch of rain has already fallen in some areas with additional
accumulations likely as storm coverage increases.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
stovepipe Wells... furnace creek... Shoshone... Badwater... Darwin...
Texas Springs campground... Panamint Springs... Death Valley Junction
and Dantes View.
