Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 5:43 AM PDT on July 30, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through this evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of California and southwest California... including
the following areas... in California... San Gorgonio Pass near
Banning. In southwest California... apple and Lucerne valleys...
Coachella Valley... Riverside County mountains... San
Bernardino County mountains... San Bernardino and Riverside
County valleys- the inland Empire... San Diego County deserts
and San Diego County mountains.

* Through this evening

* plentiful monsoon moisture and instability will bring a
significant risk for heavy showers and thunderstorms producing
heavy downpours which could result in flash flooding later
today. Showers and storms will persist into the early evening
hours before gradually declining.

* Recent burn scars will be particularly susceptible to flash
flooding and debris flows. Be alert for issuance of flash flood
warnings from the National Weather Service.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
