The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
Wind Advisory... which is in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM
PST Sunday. A high wind watch has also been issued. This high
wind watch is in effect from Sunday evening through Monday
afternoon. The Wind Advisory for this afternoon has been
cancelled.

* Winds and timing... northeast winds will weaken this afternoon
and this evening... but local gusts to 45 mph will still be
possible in the mountains. Northeast winds will increase to 20
to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph again late tonight and tomorrow.
Northeast winds may continue to increase tomorrow evening and
tomorrow night... when winds speeds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts to
around 60 mph will be possible. These stronger northeast winds
may continue through early Monday afternoon.

* Impacts... gusty winds will make driving difficult... especially
for drivers of high profile vehicles. The potentially stronger
winds Sunday night into Monday could result in downed trees and
power outages.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

When driving... use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty
cross winds.

A high wind watch means that conditions are favorable for
potentially damaging winds of 58 mph or greater. Be prepared to
secure all loose outdoor furniture in advance of the onset of
strong winds. Monitor the latest forecasts on NOAA Weather Radio
or your favorite media source.

... Fire Weather Watch in effect from Sunday evening through
Monday afternoon for wind and low relative humidity for the
mountains of Los Angeles and Ventura counties including the Santa
Monica Mountains as well as the Santa Clarita valley...

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds and low relative
humidity... which is in effect from Sunday evening through Monday
afternoon.

* Winds... northeast 25 to 40 mph with possible gusts between 60
and 70 mph.

* Relative humidity... daytime minimum humidities will fall to
between 10 and 20 percent.

* Impacts... if fire ignition occur... conditions could be favorable
for extreme fire behavior which would threaten life and
property.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Please advise the appropriate officials or
