... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 5 PM MST this
afternoon...

The Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow is now in effect until 5 PM
MST this afternoon.

* Snow accumulations... additional accumulations of 1 to 2 inches
through this afternoon... except up to 3 inches in the foothills.

* Timing... periods of snow will continue through today. The
potential exists for snow to intensify tonight through Saturday
morning when significant additional accumulations will be possible.

* Winds... significant winds are not expected.

* Snow levels... temperatures will be cold enough for snow at all
locations until Saturday afternoon... when the snow level should
lift to around 8000 feet.

* Local impacts... hazardous travel conditions due to snow packed
and icy roadways are expected along with reduced visibilities in
locally heavy snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food...
