Wind Advisory
Statement as of 3:18 AM MST on February 28, 2015

... Wind Advisory in effect from 10 am PST /11 am MST/ this morning
to 7 PM PST /8 PM MST/ this evening...

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a Wind
Advisory for northeast San Bernardino County... the morongo
basin... southern Clark County and central and southern Mohave County
away from the Colorado River... which is in effect from 10 am PST
/11 am MST/ this morning to 7 PM PST /8 PM MST/ this evening.

* Winds: west at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

* Timing: winds will increase late this morning... be strongest this
afternoon and then decrease this evening.

* Locations: Primm... Searchlight... Cal-Nev-Ari... Morongo
Valley... Yucca Valley... Twentynine Palms... Baker... Mountain
pass... Mitchell caverns... Kingman... Golden Valley... Dolan
Springs... Valentine... Wikieup... Yucca.

* Impacts: strong Crosswinds will make for difficult driving
conditions on area roads including interstates 15 and 40 as well
as highways 93 and 95. Areas of blowing sand and dust are possible
resulting in reduced visibility. Any loose objects outside will be
blown away.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that Crosswinds are expected to be strong
enough to make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. In addition... strong winds over desert areas could result
in briefly lowered visibilities to well under a mile at times in
blowing dust or blowing sand. Use extra caution.
