... The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for east central Coconino and west
central Navajo counties will expire at 200 PM MST...

the storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits... and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore the warning will be allowed to expire. However heavy rain
is still possible with this thunderstorm.

the storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe

... A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 200 PM MST
for southeastern Coconino and southwestern Navajo counties...

At 150 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable
of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60
mph. This storm was located 7 miles northwest of Winslow or just
southeast of Leupp... moving northeast at 15 mph.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Coconino and southwestern Navajo counties.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm... and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
eastern Coconino County in north central Arizona...
northern Navajo County in northeastern Arizona...

* until 345 PM MST

* at 1244 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated nearly stationary
thunderstorms producing heavy rain about 10 miles northwest of
Shonto. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

This includes the following streams and drainages... sour water
wash... Shonto wash... Navajo creek... Tsegi Canyon... Last End Wash and
Begashibito Wash.

This includes Highway 160 between mile markers 344 and 357.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Turn around... dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into areas
where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually deeper

* at 1228 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain in an area about 15 miles northwest of Heber-Overgaard.
Up to two inches of rain in one hour has already fallen. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Flash flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern
Coconino and west central Navajo counties.

This includes the following streams and drainages... squaw
wash... Wildcat Canyon... Chevelon Canyon... Black Canyon and potato
wash.

* at 130 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms about 10 miles northwest of Clarkdale. This will
cause small stream flooding and overflowing of poor drainage areas.

This includes the following streams and drainages... blowout creek...
Munds Draw... Hell Canyon... rattlesnake wash... Bear Canyon...
Grindstone Wash... Verde river... Sycamore Creek... wagon tire wash and
Railroad Draw.
