At 319 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable
of producing quarter size hail and destructive winds in excess of 70
mph. This storm was located near Beardsley... or near Sun City West...
moving southeast at 10 mph.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
east central Maricopa County in south central Arizona...
northwestern Gila County in east central Arizona...
northeastern Pinal County in southeastern Arizona...
   mainly for the area along the entire length of Roosevelt
    Lake ... and roads surrounding the lake... including Highway 188.


* Until 445 PM MST

* at 243 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly.

Powerful thunderstorms with extreme rainfall will develop around
Roosevelt Lake. Flood or flash flooding is likely.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
northeastern Maricopa County in south central Arizona...
northwestern Gila County in east central Arizona...

* until 430 PM MST

* at 226 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Roosevelt... Tonto National Monument... Tonto Basin... Roosevelt dam
and Punkin Center.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
