... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 5 am Sunday to 5 PM MST
Monday...

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow... which is in effect from
5 am Sunday to 5 PM MST Monday.

* Timing... strong west winds will begin to bring Pacific moisture
into the Teton and Gros ventre mountains late tonight beginning a
long term period of snow with blowing snow developing. Periods
of heavy snow will continue Sunday night and Monday.

* Snow accumulation... 10 to 20 inches with locally higher amounts.

* Wind and visibility... west winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40
mph on the passes. Visibility below a quarter mile in heavy snow
and blowing snow.

* Main impact... travel will become difficult on the mountain
passes with snow packed and icy roads and poor visibility.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
