Fire Weather Warning
Statement as of 1:23 PM MDT on August 29, 2015

... Red flag warning now in effect until 9 PM MDT Sunday for gusty
wind... low humidity... hot temperatures... and a Haines index of
6...

* wind... becoming southwest 10 to 15 mph with occasional gusts to
25 mph early this afternoon in basins and sheltered areas.
Elsewhere... widespread southwest wind increasing to 15 to 25 mph
with gusts around 35 mph after 1500 Saturday... continuing
through Sunday afternoon.

* Maximum temperatures... 93 to 98... 86 to 91 mountains this
afternoon. Highs will be 5 degrees lower on Sunday.

* Humidity... 7 to 15 percent recovering above 30 percent after
2000 with poor recovery at mid slope. Relative humidity will
return to the mid teens around noon on Sunday.

* Haines index... 6 each afternoon

* thunderstorms... none Saturday. Isolated to widely scattered
dry thunderstorms on Sunday with an lal of 6.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended and campfires need to be
out cold.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
create extreme fire behavior.
