Statement as of 4:05 AM MDT on September 05, 2015

... Sharp cold front to bring cooler temperatures and active
weather to start the Labor Day weekend...

An area of low pressure... and its associated cold front... will
push across the cowboy state this Holiday weekend. Isolated to
scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be possible
ahead of this front today across central Wyoming. A few storms
could produce frequent lightning and gusty winds at times. In
addition... dry and breezy winds ahead of the approaching front
could bring elevated to extreme fire danger across central Wyoming
this afternoon. See the red flag warning for more details. The
mentioned cold front will push across central Wyoming this evening
through the overnight hours. This will bring mainly isolated to
scattered rain showers across central Wyoming through the
overnight hours... .with mountain snow above 8500 feet expected
across western Wyoming. Any lingering showers and mountain snow is
then expected to diminish quickly early Sunday morning.

Dry... but windy conditions are then expected for the rest of
Sunday into Labor Day. Much cooler temperatures are expected for
Sunday... with highs in the 60s and 70s. Morning lows on Monday
will be in the 40s... with slightly warmer daytime highs in the 60s
and 70s for central Wyoming.
