Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 6:11 AM MDT on May 25, 2015

The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
Central Sheridan County in north central Wyoming...

* until 1245 PM MDT Monday

* up to 2 inches of rain has fallen in the foothills west of
Sheridan since Sunday morning. Many streams and creeks were
running out of their banks along the foothills of the bighorns.
Flooding was reported in the towns of Big Horn and story. Jackson
Creek... near Big Horn... was out of its banks and causing flooding
of roads and homes. Little Goose Creek was also flooding low lands
around Big Horn and on the west side of the city of Sheridan.

* Water levels are expected to crest this morning... then fall below
flood stage by early afternoon. Additional rain today is not
expected to be heavy... but any rain that does fall will slow down
the water receding process.

+ People living near or in proximity of streams and creeks along the
Bighorn foothills should take action to protect life and property.
Do not drive over a water covered Road... as the Road may be washed
out underneath.

* This statement replaces the previous advisory in place for Central
Sheridan County.
