... High Wind Warning in effect from 2 am Monday to 6 am MST
Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a High Wind
Warning... which is in effect from 2 am Monday to 6 am MST
Tuesday. The high wind watch is no longer in effect.

* Timing... while gusty winds will continue through this evening...
winds will strengthen further late tonight. Strong winds will
then continue through late Monday night.

* Winds... sustained west winds 35 to 50 mph with gusts to 70 mph.

* Impacts... mainly to transportation. Travel will be hazardous
to light weight and high profile vehicles... especially on
north to south oriented roadways.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage. For detailed Road

Issued: 2:50 PM MST Feb. 14, 2016 – National Weather Service

Southwest winds sustained at 30 to 40 mph with gusts around 50
mph will continue the rest of this afternoon for portions of
southeast Wyoming. This includes the Interstate 25 corridor
between the Colorado state line and Wheatland... as well as
Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Arlington. Winds are expected
to decrease slightly this evening but will remain gusty.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation advises no light trailer
traffic due to wind speeds above 50 mph. These winds may cause
loss of vehicle control or a blow over to high profile vehicles
traveling empty or with a light Load. Drivers of such vehicles are
advised to delay travel.
