Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 11:28 AM MDT on July 07, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through this evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of south central Wyoming and southeast Wyoming...
including the following areas... in south central Wyoming...
central Carbon County... north Snowy Range foothills... Sierra
Madre range... Snowy Range... southwest Carbon County and Upper
North Platte River basin. In southeast Wyoming... Laramie
valley and south Laramie range.

* Through this evening

* potential for thunderstorms this afternoon and evening that will
move slowly... producing heavy rains falling on saturated
grounds and in areas where streams may already be running high.

* Rapid rises of creeks and small rivers will be possible in areas
downstream where heavy rains persist. Rock or mud slides will be
possible in steeply sloped areas... especially around mountain
passes... canyons and burn scars.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
