... High wind watch in effect from late tonight through late
Monday night...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a high wind
watch... which is in effect from late tonight through late Monday
night.

* Timing... very windy conditions are expected today... with winds
subsiding around sunset. However... winds will increase quickly
late tonight with strong winds possible by early Monday
morning.

* Winds... sustained west winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts to 70 mph
possible.

* Impacts... mainly to transportation. Travel may be hazardous to
light weight and high profile vehicles... especially on north to
south oriented roadways.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high wind watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph... or gusts of
58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.

... Gusty winds early this morning between Chugwater and
Wheatland and west of Laramie...

Southwest winds sustained at 30 to 40 mph with gusts around 55
mph are expected in southwest Platte County and over the western
portion of the Laramie valley. This includes the Interstate 25
corridor between Chugwater and Wheatland... particularly at the
Bordeaux interchange.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation advises no light trailer
traffic due to wind speeds above 50 mph. These winds may cause
loss of vehicle control or a blow over to high profile vehicles
traveling empty or with a light Load. Drivers of such vehicles are
advised to delay travel.
