The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
northwestern Mesa County in west central Colorado...
southwestern Garfield County in northwestern Colorado...

* until 715 PM MDT

* at 221 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Arroyo and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area.

* Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Mesa
and southwestern Garfield counties.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff will cause minor flooding of small creeks and
streams... as well as ranch and country roads. Do not attempt to
travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
