Statement as of 9:25 PM MDT on August 30, 2015

... The Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until
1100 PM MDT for northwestern Mesa County...

At 924 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated continued rainfall after
heavy rainfall due to thunderstorms. This will cause Arroyo and
Small Stream flooding in the advisory area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include... streams and
dry washes between Fruita and Mack... draining from the bookcliffs
southwards into the Colorado River.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams. Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads.
Find alternate routes.
