Statement as of 8:20 PM MDT on July 29, 2015

... The small stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until 900 PM MDT
for north central Chaffee County...

At 818 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to 1.4 inches of
rainfall has been estimated by Doppler radar.

This flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of north central
Chaffee County just north of Buena Vista.

Additional rainfall of 4/10 of an inch is expected over the area.

This includes the following streams and drainages... north Cottonwood
Creek... Morrison Creek... three Elk Creek... Powell Creek... Silver
Creek... Cottonwood Creek... Morris creek... four Elk Creek and Arkansas
River.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate
routes.
