The Flood Warning continues for
the South Platte river near Weldona.
* Until late Saturday night... or until the stream falls below flood
stage.
* At 8:45 PM Friday the stage was 10.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 10.3 feet by
early Saturday morning. The river will fall below flood stage
Saturday evening.
* Impact... at 10.0 feet... there is widespread lowland and Meadow
flooding. Water rises over the Railroad tracks near masters.
Irrigation works are impacted.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 10.3 feet
on may 10 1969.

... Flash Flood Watch in effect from noon MDT today through this
evening...

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of east central Colorado and
northeast Colorado... including the following areas... in east
central Colorado... north and northeast Elbert County below
6000 feet/North Lincoln County. In northeast Colorado...
central and East Adams and Arapahoe counties... Logan County...
Morgan County... northeast Weld County... Phillips County...
Sedgwick County and Washington County.

* From noon MDT today through this evening

* thunderstorms may produce from 1 to 2 inches of rain in less
than 45 minutes.

* The ground over the plains of northeast Colorado is saturated
due to previous rainfall. Any additional heavy rainfall may
cause flash flooding in some areas
