Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 10:22 AM CST on March 04, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight CST
tonight...

* timing... a wintry mix is currently ongoing north of a Morton to
Aspermont line with a transition to snow expected by mid to late
afternoon. The transition will be latest across the southwestern
South Plains.

* Main impact... light accumulations of ice from freezing rain and
or sleet will provide the initial wintry threat followed by
snowfall. Widespread snowfall amounts near one inch is expected
with locally higher amounts possible across the northern South
Plains and far southern Texas Panhandle.

* Other impacts... icy and snow covered roadways will result in
hazardous travel conditions. Furthermore... rather breezy north
winds may cause areas of blowing snow and restrict
visibilities. The cold air mass ushered in by the cold front
will drop wind chill values into the single digits from the far
southern Texas Panhandle into the central South Plains.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
