... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am CST this morning...
The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a dense
fog advisory... which is in effect until 9 am CST this morning.
Widespread areas of dense fog will develop over all of deep south
Texas and the adjacent Laguna Madre reducing visibilities to
around one quarter of a mile. This dense fog is a result of the
combination of light surface winds and high relative humidity
values. The dense fog will persist through mid morning today with
visibilities steadily improving due to increased heating and
surface winds.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
Drive with care... and watch for stopped school buses and children
crossing the streets.
