The Flood Warning continues for
the Neches River at Rockland, Texas.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 1000 am Thursday the stage was 29.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 28.6 feet
by Friday morning. Also the river crested at 29.3 feet during
early this Thursday morning.
* Impact... at 30.0 feet... high water will flood and close several
roadways especially in the smith's Ferry community. Some low area
homes in the smith's Ferry community will also be threatened with
flooding.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Neches River near town Bluff.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10:00 am Thursday the stage was 73.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 64.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 73.8 feet by
after midnight tomorrow. Additional rises may be possible
thereafter.
* Impact... at stages near 73.0 feet... flooding expected in the Mont
Neches, Barlow Lake and sheffields Ferry communities. Some homes
may become flooded as well, especially in the Barlow Lake
community.
* Impact... at stages near 70.0 feet... flooding can be expected
around Barlow Lake and Brushy Lake with some roads being cutoff and
some of the lowest properties near the river begin to flood.
* Impact... at stages near 65.0 feet... areas around Barlow Lake and

837 PM CDT Wed may 27 2015

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 630 PM CDT Friday for
northwestern Orange... east central Hardin and southern Jasper
counties...

At 833 PM CDT... reporting gauges indicated flooding along the
Neches River from near Weiss Bluff to the saltwater barrier. The
water levels are estimated to be near 14.6 feet and the latest
reading at the saltwater barrier is 6.2 feet. The river is forecast
to rise to 16.8 feet by Monday... and continue to result in flooding
through Friday... June 5.

These water levels will result in moderate flooding to low lying
communities along the river in northwest Orange County from around
Lake View to the saltwater barrier.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lakeview and Weiss Bluff.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
