Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 7:20 PM CDT on May 27, 2015

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Tarrant County in north central Texas...

* until 1015 PM CDT

* at 719 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fort Worth... Arlington... Grand Prairie... Euless... Bedford...
Grapevine... Haltom City... Keller... Hurst... Southlake... Watauga...
Colleyville... Benbrook... Saginaw... White Settlement... Forest
Hill... Azle... Richland Hills... River Oaks and Kennedale.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause ponding of water in
urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other
poor drainage areas and low lying spots. Do not attempt to travel
across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
