An area of snow continues to move northeast across North Texas. The leading edge of the snow was approaching a line from Bowie to Fort Worth to Hillsboro at 730 am...moving northeast at 40 mph. Activity will spread across the Interstate 35 Corridor North of Hillsboro through the mid morning hours. Snow may occasionally reduce visibilities to a mile or less and create slick and hazardous roads. Please use caution and allow extra time to reach your destinations if driving this morning. Accumulations around an inch will be possible through 10 am.

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 am this
morning to 6 PM CST Saturday...

* location... this statement is for areas generally along a line
from Comanche to Granbury to the dfw metroplex northeast to
Paris.

* Timing... this morning through Saturday afternoon.

* Precipitation type... snow is likely today. Very light snow or
freezing drizzle is likely tonight. Freezing rain and freezing
drizzle is likely Saturday.

* Accumulation... 1 to 2 inches of snow today... with localized
higher amounts to 3 inches possible. Less than a tenth of an
inch of ice from freezing drizzle or freezing rain tonight and
Saturday.

* Main impact... snow and ice will make for hazardous travel.
Temperatures will be cold enough for accumulations on all
roads... however bridges... and overpasses will be the most at
risk.
