Areal Flood Advisory, Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 11:55 PM CDT on May 28, 2015

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Dallas County in north central Texas...

* until 300 am CDT

* at 1155 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dallas... Garland... Irving... Grand Prairie... Mesquite...
Carrollton... Richardson... Rowlett... DeSoto... Grapevine... Cedar
Hill... Wylie... Coppell... Duncanville... Lancaster... Farmers
Branch... Balch Springs... University Park... Sachse and Seagoville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
