The Flood Warning continues for
the Elm Fork Trinity River near Carrollton.
* At 0915 am Monday the stage was 8.35 feet.
* Flood stage is 8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will hold steady near 8 feet through
Monday afternoon and will remain near 8 feet through much of the week.
* Forecast... the river will reamin 8 feet Monday afternoon then
remain above flood for the next few days.
* At 8 feet, minor flooding will occur downstream from the gauge.

CST this evening...

* Winds... northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with some gusts over
35 mph.

* Impacts... driving... especially of high profile vehicles... may
become difficult at times. Residents should ensure lightweight
outdoor objects are secured.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 20 to
30 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Boaters should
use extra caution when venturing onto area lakes. Residents may
wish to take action to secure trash cans... lawn furniture... and
other lightweight outdoor objects that may be blown around in the
strong winds.

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 6 PM CST this evening
due to strong northwest winds and a very dry air mass for locations
along and west of a line from Gainesville to Dallas to
Centerville...

* affected area... locations along and west of a line from
Gainesville to Dallas to Centerville.

* Timing... through 6 PM today. Conditions will improve after
sunset as temperatures drop and winds subside.

* Winds... northwest at 25 mph with gusts over 35 mph.

* Rh... minimum values between 15 and 25 percent.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will be able to spread
rapidly.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that extreme fire weather conditions are
either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds... low relative humidity... and dry vegetation can contribute
to extreme fire behavior. Avoid all outside burning and welding
