* at 1142 am CDT... local law enforcement reported ongoing flooding
from earlier rainfall.

Additional rainfall amounts of half an inch are possible in the
warned area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

the Rowlett creek near Sachse.
* Until late tonight... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 0930 am Saturday the stage was 22.92 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river should rise above flood stage by Saturday
morning and continue to rise to a crest near 25 feet by late
Saturday morning. The river should fall below flood stage Saturday
afternoon.

the Trinity River at Dallas.
* At 0900 am Saturday the stage was 40.51 feet.
* Flood stage is 30 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to a secondary crest
between 41.5 and 42 feet by Sunday morning then fall to near 39
feet by early next week and remain near that level through mid
week.

and 13 feet by Saturday afternoon then begin falling but remain
above flood stage.

by Saturday afternoon. The river should fall below flood stage late
Monday afternoon.
