At 9:00 am...radars detected an area of light to moderate shower activity continuing parts of northeast Oklahoma...with an area of heavier rain across parts of northwest Arkansas. Most activity remained just south of the Interstate 44 corridor...and was moving east northeast at 20 mph. Through 11:00 am...light to moderate showers...with occasional thunder will continue to grow in coverage across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Heavier rain will likely persist across far eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Hourly rainfall rates of three quarters to one inch per hour will likely occur in those locations. Elsewhere... rates of one tenth to one quarter inch can be expected.

evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northwest Arkansas and Oklahoma... including the
following areas... in northwest Arkansas... Benton... Carroll...
Madison and Washington AR. In Oklahoma... Adair... Cherokee...
Craig... creek... Delaware... Mayes... McIntosh... Muskogee...
Nowata... Okfuskee... Okmulgee... Osage... Ottawa... Pawnee...
Rogers... Tulsa... Wagoner and Washington OK.

* Through Wednesday evening

* a swath of 3 to 5 inches of rain is forecast along and on either
side of a line from near lake Eufaula northeastward toward
Bentonville and Rogers... with 2 to 4 inches expected to fall as
far north as a Pawnee to Bartlesville line. Some isolated
locations could receive as much as 10 inches of rainfall by
Wednesday evening. Dangerous flash flooding will likely be the
result.
