At 6:46 am...National Weather Service radars indicated an area of showers and thunderstorms across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. The activity was generally along and north of the Interstate 40 corridor...and moving off to the east southeast at around 30 mph. Through 8:15 am...showers and thunderstorms will likely spread further southward...deeper into eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Heavy rainfall and localized flooding will be possible across far northeastern Oklahoma as storms continue to move across the same areas. Wind gusts to 40 mph and frequent lightning can also be expected with the strongest storms.
