At 8:25 PM... National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to indicate an area of light snow across a part of southeast Oklahoma and over much of western Arkansas. Several bands of moderate snow were occurring in southeast Oklahoma through 10:30 PM... the snow is expected to persist across parts of southeast Oklahoma and across most of western Arkansas... while slowly shifting eastward. Most locations will receive less than an inch of additional accumulation. Isolated amounts of one to two inches may occur however... from the heavier bands in extreme southeast Oklahoma.

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 5 am Saturday to midnight

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a Winter Weather
Advisory for snow... which is in effect until midnight CST
tonight. Winter Weather Advisory has also been issued from 5 am
Saturday to midnight CST Saturday night...

For the following counties...
* in Oklahoma... Mayes and Delaware. In Arkansas... Benton and
   Carroll.

* Bands of light to moderate snow will continue to spread across
   eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this afternoon...
   including a heavier band of snow near a Pawnee... Hominy... Big
   Cabin line. 1 to 2 inch snow amounts are expected with locally
   higher amounts in the heavier snow bands.

   Additional areas of snow will spread across northeast Oklahoma
   and northwest Arkansas during the day Saturday with an additional
   2 to 3 inches possible... especially along the Oklahoma... Kansas
   and Arkansas... Missouri state lines.

Impacts...
* temperatures remain well below freezing and roads in the
   advisory area will become slick and very hazardous...
   especially on bridges and overpasses and non-treated surfaces.

   accumulate on roadways.
