Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 10:05 PM CDT on July 07, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Wednesday
evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of north central Arkansas... including the following
areas... Baxter... Boone... Fulton... Independence... Izard...
Marion... Newton... Searcy... sharp and stone.

* Through Wednesday evening

* a cold front meander over southern Missouri the next few
days... before eventually lifting back northward. The front will
provide a focus for several rounds of showers and thunderstorms
across northern Arkansas through Wednesday. As a result... heavy
rainfall and the threat for flash flooding will increase.

* Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected... with the
highest amounts expected closer to the Missouri border. Locally
higher amounts will be possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
