Weather Summary
Weather Underground Forecast for Wednesday, May 22, 2013.

A low pressure system in the Baltic Sea will maintain wet weather in parts of northern and western Europe on Wednesday, while a second area of low pressure in the western Mediterranean Sea kicks up unsettled weather to the south.

In the north, the low in the Baltic Sea will refocus to the northwest, lifting across Denmark and into southern Norway through the day. As the system progresses, winds wrapping around the system will usher moisture inland, leading to widely scattered light to moderate showers in southern Norway. Meanwhile, an associated warm front extending from the low through the western countries of the nation will move inland with limited moisture, allowing for chances of light showers to develop from parts of Denmark into Germany southwestward through eastern France. Ahead of this system, an associated cold front will lift northward through the Baltic States toward Finland with increased cloud cover and generally light precipitation.

Further south, low pressure in the western Mediterranean Sea will shift into the Tyrrhenian Sea on Wednesday. An associated warm front extending from this low through southern Italy will extend int Greece and will lift northward through the day with ample moisture from the south. This will translate into light to moderated showers and chances of isolated thunderstorms ahead of the boundary from Italy through the southeastern countries of Europe. This activity is expected to increase and become more widespread by Wednesday night/Thursday morning as the center of the low moves into the Adriatic Sea.

Elsewhere, a weak trough of low pressure brings increased cloud cover and chances of light rain to Scotland and the London area.
