The Flood Warning continues for
the South Platte river near Roscoe.
* Until further notice.
* At 11:30 am Tuesday the stage was 9.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 9.9 feet.
Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 10.0 feet... water reaches the gage house floor.

The Flood Warning continues for
the North Platte river at Lewellen.
* Until further notice.
* At 4:00 am Tuesday the stage was 8.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to slowly fall.
* Impact... at 8.5 feet... moderate flood stage. Flooding around
Fairground street, County Road 46, County Road 199a and County Road
44a east of Highway 26. Homes near and along the river may begin to
flood.

At 1040 PM CDT/940 PM MDT/... National Weather Service Doppler radar
was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 5 miles
east of Elsmere to 6 miles west of Halsey to 12 miles southwest of
Thedford to 6 miles west of Tryon to 11 miles southeast of Arthur...
and moving east at 35 mph.

Hail up to the size of nickels and wind gusts up to 50 mph are
expected with these storms... along with frequent dangerous lightning.

These storms will be near...
Tryon and Halsey around 1050 PM CDT.
Hawley Flats around 1055 PM CDT.
Highway 83 crossing The Dismal river around 1100 PM CDT.
Johnsons Corner around 1110 PM CDT.
