Through 9 am CST...8 am MST...light snow will continue
across northern Sheridan County and northern Cherry County.
Snowfall rates of 1/8 of an inch per hour will occur in this snow
from Hay Springs east to Valentine...Springview and Lynch.
Satellite indicates the snow is decreasing and this trend should
continue this morning with a few heavier snow showers possible.
Periods of light snow with little or no accumulation are
expected elsewhere across western and north central
Nebraska...mainly across the Panhandle. North winds have increased to 25 to 35
mph with gusts to 45 mph across most of western and north
central Nebraska associated with an Arctic front moving rapidly
south. Travel conditions will improve markedly once the snow
lets up. Some Road surfaces are snow and ice covered across
northern Nebraska. All of this winter weather was associated with
an upper level disturbance moving through the northern plains
which will usher in much colder Arctic air this morning. A
Winter Weather Advisory is in effect this morning for
Sheridan...Cherry...Keya Paha and Boyd counties.
