Through 400 PM MST (500 PM cst)...snow will continue across the tri-state area through the afternoon. Multiple accidents have been reported on Interstate 70 and area roads due to icy Road conditions and poor visibilities in blowing snow. Winds are expected to increase this afternoon creating more widespread areas of poor visibilities due to blowing and drifting snow.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 PM MST /midnight CST/ this evening.
* Snow will continue across the area this afternoon and continue through the early evening. Strong northerly winds will develop after 2 PM MST (3 PM cst) and will persist into the early evening.
* Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 4 inches along and east of Highway 83 and 2 to 3 inches west.
* North winds of 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts will create areas of blowing and drifting snow.
* Travel across the area will become hazardous with snow packed roads and reduced visibilities in snow and blowing snow. Visibilities could drop to as low as one quarter mile at times and snow could occasionally fall at the rates in excess of an inch per hour. Wind chill readings will fall to 20 to 30 degrees below zero Tuesday night.
