... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am MDT /11 am CDT/ this
morning...

The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 10 am MDT /11 am CDT/ this
morning.

* Timing/duration... now through mid morning

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibility will frequently be one
quarter mile or less in fog. If driving... slow down and be
prepared for sudden drops in visibility... especially near
rivers... creeks and low lying areas. Use your headlights on low
beams and drive defensively.

Statement as of 1:52 AM CDT on August 05, 2015

Locally dense fog is beginning to develop across portions of the
tri-state region. Latest observations indicate patchy dense fog
along a line from Holyoke Colorado to St Francis to Colby and Gove
Kansas. Fog will increase in coverage throughout the morning and
widespread dense fog should be observed by sunrise. Visibilities
less than one quarter mile may become common. Those traveling
should use extra caution due to rapidly changing visibility.
