* Flood Warning for...

Polk County in southwest Missouri...
southern Laclede County in southwest Missouri...
Webster County in southwest Missouri...
Wright County in southwest Missouri...

* until 900 am CDT Saturday.

* At 856 PM CDT... local law enforcement officials reported that heavy
rainfall was producing flooding across the area. Heavy rainfall
that occurred this afternoon and evening on top of saturated
ground from the recent rains over the last several days
is causing flooding of low water crossings and flood
prone areas. Run off from this rain will continue through the
overnight hours. Additional rainfall will occur into the overnight
hours.

* Runoff from this rain is causing flooding. Creeks... streams and low
water crossings will be especially susceptible to the dangers of
flooding.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...

Route zz at the Myers branch near Rader...
Route h just north of Pleasant Hope...
Route E north of Highway 38 at the Gasconade river...
Route cc west of Fair Grove at the Pomme de Terre River...
Route c north of Buffalo at Lindley creek.

This Flood Warning is an upgrade to the Flood Advisory that is in
effect for the area. A Flash Flood Warning also remains in effect
for Webster County until 11 PM this evening.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
However... all interested parties should take necessary precautions
immediately.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Saturday
afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* the Missouri Ozarks and portions of far southeastern Kansas.

* Through Saturday afternoon

* showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall will impact much
of the Missouri Ozarks tonight before ending Saturday morning.
The heaviest rain overnight will occur east of Highway 65 across
south central Missouri where an additional one to two inches of
rain may fall. This rain falling on saturated soil... will
result in an increased risk for flash flooding.

* Small streams... creeks... low water crossings and area rivers
will be especially susceptible to flash flooding.

Those floating or camping on or near area rivers should be alert
for rapid rises of water levels.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

At 901 PM CDT... local law enforcement officials reported that heavy
rainfall was producing minor flooding across the advisory area.
Heavy rainfall that occurred this afternoon and evening on top of
saturated ground from recent rains is causing flooding of some low
water crossings and flood prone areas. Run off from this rain will
continue through the overnight hours into Saturday morning.

Runoff from this heavy rainfall is causing minor flooding. Creeks...
streams and low water crossings will be especially susceptible to the
dangers of flooding.

This advisory includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
