morning...
... Wind Chill Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 10 am
CST Friday...

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Wind Chill
Advisory... which is in effect from midnight tonight to 10 am CST
Friday.

* Snow/sleet/ice accumulations... new snow accumulations between
3 and 5 inches... in addition new sleet accumulations of up to
a half of an inch. Storm total snow and sleet accumulations of
8 to 12 inches... with locally higher amounts.

* Wind chill values... zero to -5 degrees.

* Timing... through 9 am CST Thursday morning. Windchill timing
from midnight tonight through 10 am CST Friday morning.

* Impacts... travel will remain hazardous. Exposed skin for
a prolonged duration may cause frostbite.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 23.0 feet Thursday March 05.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* The river rose above flood stage Wednesday March 04 and will
continue rising to near 23.0 feet by Thursday March 05. The river
will fall below flood stage Friday March 06.
* At 23.0 feet... most low land inside the levee system is flooded.
