Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 4:10 AM CST on February 28, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to
noon CST Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and freezing rain... which is in effect
from 3 PM this afternoon to noon CST Sunday for areas north and
west of a line from Ellsinore Missouri to Marion and Mt Vernon
Illinois.

* Timing: light snow will spread eastward into the region after 3
PM... and then continue into the evening. It will gradually
change over to freezing rain overnight into Sunday morning.
Temperatures will climb above freezing by noon Sunday.

* Main impact: snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected
underneath less than a tenth of an inch of ice.

* Other impacts: untreated roads will become slick and hazardous
once the precipitation begins.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
