The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southern Illinois and southeast Missouri...
including the following areas... in southern Illinois...
Franklin... Jackson... Jefferson... Perry IL... Union IL and
Williamson. In southeast Missouri... Bollinger... Cape
Girardeau... Carter... Perry MO and Wayne MO.

* From 7 am CDT this morning through 7 am Thursday morning.

* Showers and thunderstorms will produce widespread 2 to 3 inch
rainfalls. Some locally higher amounts will be possible.

* Strong thunderstorms will produce torrential rainfall that may
quickly inundate drainage systems... resulting in flash
flooding.
