Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:00 PM CST Feb. 14, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

* timing... light snow will gradually diminish along and northeast
of a Macomb to Springfield to Lawrenceville line through 6 PM.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 4 inches of snow fell across the area
through mid afternoon. Less than 1 inch of additional snow will
occur by 6 PM from I-74 north and near the Indiana border.
Patchy freezing drizzle will also be possible late this
afternoon or evening.

* Wind... southeast winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts of 20 to 25
mph this afternoon will diminish to 5 to 15 mph this evening.

* Main impact... snow-covered roads will create hazardous travel
conditions. Brisk southeasterly winds will cause some blowing
and drifting snow until dusk.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
