... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

* timing... through much of the day.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 5 inches.

* Wind... southeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph this morning.

* Visibilities... less than a mile in the heavier snow at times.

* Impacts... snow covered and hazardous roads and low visibility
in heavier snowfall. Drifting snow possible this morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slick... snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and be careful while
driving.

... Snow increasing across eastern Iowa and northeast Missouri...

Doppler radar and surface observations were indicating an
increasing area of light to moderate snow across portions of
eastern Iowa and northeast Missouri... and was quickly spreading
northeast. The snow will continue to spread into portions of
northwest and western Illinois through mid morning.

Motorists should be prepared for roadways to become quickly snow
covered and hazardous with temperatures in the teens.

Visibilities will be reduced to less than a mile in the heavier
snowfall so slow down and use extra caution. Southeast winds
gusting to around 25 mph will cause some drifting of the snow.
