Fire Weather Watch
Statement as of 1:47 PM MDT on July 06, 2015

... Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from Tuesday afternoon
through Tuesday evening for thunderstorms across the Kootenai...

A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from Tuesday afternoon
through Tuesday evening.

* Thunderstorms: scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop
over the higher terrain of far northwest Montana early Tuesday
afternoon and spread southeastward with lower elevations
seeing more isolated coverage. Although some storms may
produce wetting rains... given the recent dryness any
lightning strikes outside of the main rain cores will present
concerns for fire starts. Thunderstorm activity is expected to
quickly dissipate around or just after sunset.

* Winds: gusty and erratic winds are possible with storms.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.
