Fire Weather Warning
Statement as of 2:50 AM MDT on August 29, 2015

... Red flag warning in effect from 1 PM CDT /noon MDT/ this
afternoon to 9 PM CDT /8 PM MDT/ this evening for temperatures in
the mid to upper 90s... low relative humidity... and sufficient wind
speeds for fire weather zones 017... 031... 032... 040 and 043...

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a red flag
warning... which is in effect from 1 PM CDT /noon MDT/ this
afternoon to 9 PM CDT /8 PM MDT/ this evening. The Fire Weather
Watch is no longer in effect and has been upgraded to a red flag
warning.

* Affected area... the counties of McKenzie... Golden
Valley... Billings... slope... and Bowman.

* Wind... south wind 15 to 25 mph.

* Timing... late Saturday morning through evening.

* Humidity... at or below 15 percent.

* Temperatures... 95 to 99.

* Impacts... any fires that develop would likely spread rapidly.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
create the potential for rapid spread of any fire that ignites.
