Watches & Warnings

Blizzard Watch
Issued: 10:24 AM CST Feb. 6, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Blizzard watch remains in effect from Sunday morning through
late Sunday night...

* blizzard conditions are possible from Sunday morning through
late Sunday night.

* Winds gusting as high as 55 mph could cause whiteout
conditions in blowing snow. Significant drifting of the snow
is likely. Damage to trees and power lines is possible

* total snow accumulations of up to 2 inches are possible.

* Travel could be very difficult to impossible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A blizzard watch means there is a potential for falling and/or
blowing snow with strong winds and extremely poor visibilities.
This can lead to whiteout conditions and make travel very
dangerous.
