Storm total snow accumulation of 5 to 8 inches. Highs around 5 above. Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent. Wind chill readings 18 below to 28 below zero.

Snow intensity will increase into the evening hours with accumulations by 9 PM of two to three and a half inches in central and west central Minnesota. After 9 PM... snow intensity will increase area wide even more so.
The snow will persist through Wednesday morning. Total snowfall accumulations of three to six and a half inches are expected by early Wednesday afternoon.
Increasing northwest winds tonight will result in blowing and drifting snow... in particular over the Minnesota River Valley. This will continue into Wednesday... leading to blowing and drifting snow several hours after the snowfall ends.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and blowing snow. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.
