Winter Weather Advisory, Wind Chill Advisory
Statement as of 2:37 PM CST on March 03, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...
... Wind Chill Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 9 am
CST Wednesday...
... Blizzard Warning is cancelled...

The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued
a Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow which is in effect
until 6 PM CST this evening. A Wind Chill Advisory has also been
issued. This Wind Chill Advisory is in effect from midnight
tonight to 9 am CST Wednesday. The Blizzard Warning has been
cancelled.

* Timing... blowing and drifting snow through 6 PM. Wind chill
values dropping below -25 after midnight.

* Impacts... travel will be difficult at times through 6 PM due to
blowing snow.

* Wind chill values... 25 to 30 below zero.

* Main impact... exposed skin could freeze in less than 30 minutes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frostbite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
When venturing outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
