Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 5:57 PM CST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight CST
tonight...
... Blizzard Warning will expire at 6 PM CST this evening...

* timing... light snow will end... but areas of blowing snow will
continue through the early night time hours.

* Accumulations... little additional snow accumulation is
expected into tonight.

* Wind and visibility... northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with
gusts to 40 mph will persist into the evening. While winds
will decrease this evening... periods of reduced visibility and
slick driving conditions will continue.

* Impacts... travel will be very difficult... but may improve after
sunset.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open
areas.
