Wind Chill Advisory
Issued: 5:08 AM CST Feb. 12, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Wind Chill Advisory now in effect until 9 am CST Saturday...

* wind chill values... as low as 40 below. There may be some
improvement to around 20 below zero for a time this
afternoon... but it will be short lived.

* Sustained winds... northwest 10 to 15 mph.

* Wind gusts... up to 25 mph.

* Frostbite time... 20 to 30 minutes on exposed skin.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and winds will
combine to generate very cold wind chills. This may result in
hypothermia... and frost bite is possible if exposed skin is not
covered. If you venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves... and cover exposed skin exposed to the wind.
